The project utilizes the principle of linear logic to intricately weave together five strategic points, creating a dynamic and interconnected urban park that serves as a green artery within the city.

1. Riverfront Connection: The initial line serves as a vital link between Sinbanpo-ro and the Hangang River, thoughtfully incorporating smaller existing parks and residential developments into its path. This segment is uniquely designed to blend circulation with cultural amenities, positioning Apartment 108 as a prominent gateway to the park. This area not only facilitates movement but also enriches the journey with cultural interactions, effectively merging the urban landscape with the river's natural beauty.

2. Banpo Jugong Access: From the heart of the Banpo Jugong complex, a pathway extends into the sector, offering residents direct access to the park. This circulation point underscores the project's commitment to integrating residential areas with communal green spaces.

3. Acro River Park and Sinbanpo-ro 15 Connection: Bridging the gap from the bustling Acro River Park area and Sinbanpo-ro 15 street, this pathway introduces another layer of accessibility, ensuring that the park serves as a seamless extension of the urban fabric.

4. Pedestrian Path from Banpo Hangang Park: This route capitalizes on the pedestrian traffic from the well-loved Banpo Hangang Park, drawing visitors deeper into the new park's embrace, enhancing the recreational and aesthetic value of the river's edge.

5. Eastern Waterfront Integration: The eastern side of the Banpo Hangang Waterfront is connected through a circulation path, expanding the park's reach and offering diverse perspectives of the river and cityscape.

A Fusion of Art, Innovation, and Sustainability

The Park utilizes the three main lines to create a structured layout, integrating the linear logic of pathways with a cultural richness. This establishes the program's foundation, dividing it into three primary areas, each focusing on a unique aspect of culture:

Culture and Arts: Celebrating visual and performing arts, this area nurtures a space for creativity and expression. Facilitating active cultural exchanges, it features a multi-purpose room designed for performances and events, emphasizing creativity's flourishing.

Culture and Innovation: Showcasing the intersection of Seoul's vibrant culture with cutting-edge technology, this zone includes an operational lab and an Immersive Digital Space. This space supports interactive exhibits, digital art exhibitions, and educational programs, highlighting innovation's role in shaping contemporary culture.

Culture and Sustainability: Near the Banpo Hangang River, this segment underscores the significance of merging cultural practices with ecological awareness. The Nature and Sustainability Center, positioned here, promotes sustainable living through education on environmental conservation and biodiversity, inspiring a commitment to ecological consciousness.

These all combined become the crucial constituents of the story that is being developed at the Banpo-Hangang River Connection Park: art, innovation, and sustainability as ever-stretching compositions. This is indeed a whole-of-the-ground approach that depicts an embodiment of the very context the Seoul landscape gives, wherein the culture and community and nature shine jointly. The Cultural Park is more than a place for leisure and learning; it appears as a vivid reflection of urban life organically integrated into the dynamic patterning of the city.

This is the proposal we submitted for the International Design Competition for Banpo-Hangang River Connection Park and Cultural Facilities in Seoul, South Korea.

The Cultural Highway Park

The pervasive influence of car infrastructure significantly contributes to the morphological fragmentation of urban landscapes, creating barriers to pedestrian connectivity across regions divided by highways. Our proposal seeks to transcend these divisions, crafting a network of continuous and interconnected green spaces that redefine the essence of urban parks. By adopting the strategic framework of highway design, we introduce four main thoroughfares that intersect at key points, facilitating seamless integration with the surrounding environment through both major arteries and subtle linkages. This design strategy ensures the free flow of pedestrian movement across various elevations, enriching the urban experience with diverse vistas and interactions. The elevations along these primary pathways are deliberately varied, enhancing the connection between the city's fabric and the Hangang River, thus offering a multitude of perspectives and micro-environments within the park. Our ambition is to weave the urban and natural elements of Seoul into a cohesive tapestry, making public spaces more accessible, and engaging for all.

Propuesta de renovación urbana para la ciudad de Bratislava, capital de Eslovaquia. 2023.

Equipo: Pablo Pschepiurca, Rodrigo Grassi, Valeria Franck, Federico Menichetti, Matias Fernández, Enzo Schunk, Virginia Molina, Cynthia Solipaca.

Junto al estudio @aisensonarquitectos desarrollamos una propuesta de renovación urbana para la ciudad de Bratislava, capital de Eslovaquia. Un sector anteriormente industrial, cercano al centro de la ciudad, debe transformarse en un nuevo barrio residencial con prestaciones comerciales, espacios de trabajo, y que a la vez incorpore la creación de áreas verdes. Nuestra presentación actúa a modo de reflexión sobre los nuevos desafíos que están encarando las principales ciudades globales: ¿Cómo deben crecer los centros metropolitanos?

Parque Carrasco, sector 4, Distrito Joven, Costanera Norte, Capital Federal, Arg. 2023.

Este proyecto fue sin dudas uno de los que más satisfacciones y desafíos nos dio el 2023. Felices de ser quienes le dimos inicio al proyecto de Parque Salguero en el 2020 y tres años después seguir evolucionando la propuesta en post de una ciudad que suma áreas verdes y recupera la primera línea frente al río.

Taking into account the main circulation and flow of the city, the building is positioned on the northern sector of the site along Sagajeong-ro Street, establishing a large public park area with reading areas along the sides of the facade, natural landscaping and water features. A dual entrance to the building creates an internal street that connects the two main areas of the project (Materials Zone and Multipurpose Zone) and also takes advantage of the difference of level in the site. This connection shapes the central atrium that organizes and distributes the different building uses and defines the aesthetics of the building’s façade, building a narrative around the concepts of Tradition, Nature, and Future. At the same time, the dual entrance allows for the simultaneous use of the two areas without interruptions.

Celebrate Legacy & Tradition: By incorporating “books” and “Hanok”, the design aims to respect and highlight Seoul’s rich historical and cultural fabric. The tangible shape and layered pages of books symbolize the depth of knowledge and stories, while the aesthetics and philosophy of Hanok serve as a bridge connecting past traditions with the modern era.

Embrace & Showcase Natural Beauty: By weaving in the “natural landscape”, the design emphasizes Seoul’s geographical and environmental essence. This offers visitors a multi-sensory experience where they can immerse in the city’s natural wonders even within an architectural setting.

Foresee & Foster Future Aspirations: The theme of “growth” captures Seoul’s dynamic progression and future aspirations. The library doesn’t just house books; it represents the city’s commitment to learning, innovation, and evolution, both culturally and technologically.

This is the proposal we submitted for the international Architectural Metropolitan Library Competition in Seoul last year. We have the opportunity to participate in this amazing architectural design challenge!

The main goal was to design a library that isn’t just a repository of books but a living narrative. A space where Seoul’s past, present, and future converge, providing visitors a holistic experience of the city’s cultural, natural, and progressive facets.

To achieve the main goal of the project, four keywords were taken into account: books, Hanok, Natural Landscape, and Growth. All of them, in combination, seek to build a narrative that integrates the different characteristics and qualities of Seoul’s culture and its citizens.

Junto al arquitecto Alejando Crudo desarrollamos esta propuesta de complejo de campo dentro de este predio de 50mil m2 en San Pedro, provincia de Buenos Aires. El mismo se apropia de concepto All inclusive y cuenta con Club houses, restaurantes, hoteleria, áreas de piscinas y recreación inmerso en medio del campo Bonaerense a orillas del rio Paraná.

El proyecto de Distrito Saldias busca comprender la posibilidad de una integración en distintos estadios
urbanos y condiciones que la ciudad va abriendo a lo largo de los años. A su vez que aspira a integrar las
distintas condiciones del paisaje cultural y social del sector proponiendo una morfología que extiende
sus condiciones hacia las piezas circundantes e integra edificios y tejido consolidado sobre el frente
costero (salguero-areneras) y hacia el barrio 31.
Para el desarrollo de la propuesta se plantearon una serie de macro-objetivos:
1- Integrar la pieza urbana del distrito Saldias al Paisaje Urbano de la ciudad (morfología y
transporte)
2- Establecer una propuesta morfológica que active los distintos sectores y se adapta al contexto
urbano existente.
3- Permitir una adaptabilidad sostenible y que conserve las preexistencias funcionales existentes
en el sitio.
4- Proponer una mixtura de usos que permita una actividad constante del sector y un espacio
público de calidad en relación directa con los usos propuestos.
5- Facilitar la accesibilidad del sector mediante estrategias de transporte y circulación peatonal.
6- Abarcar las necesidades de Sustentabilidad e impacto ambiental y sustentabilidad social.

Esta fue nuestra propuesta para el Concurso Nacional de ideas Predio Saldias. Capital Federal. Arg. 2023.

El nuevo Distrito Saldias representa un desafío urbanístico de mucha complejidad. Distintas piezas
urbanas convergen en este nuevo nodo de manera accidental y sin una conexión clara en sus límites.
Grandes predios productivos y de infraestructura (depósitos fiscales, playas ferroviarias, etc.) presentan
un desafío no solo en el presente concurso sino en las posibilidades de adaptación de la propuesta
proyectual, considerando al devenir de la ciudad como un hecho incierto o al menos difícilmente
predecible con exactitud. Por lo que una de las premisas principales ante la complejidad de la pieza y los desafíos que presenta es la posibilidad de un proyecto que integre el tejido urbano y cultural en sus
distintas etapas de desarrollo y admita la posibilidad de modificar sus condiciones en relación al entorno
circundante.
